What is the river?

The River is my place of water in the wilderness. It’s about finding truth and freedom in a messy head.

In The River, I share ALL the resources I’ve devoured (and continue to devour!) over the last 6-7 years that have helped me live mentally, physically & spiritually healthier.

I had a picture of a river a few years ago when I was in a hard season. I’ve had it quite a few times since then, almost like a reminder of God’s goodness when I get overwhelmed with this life. The rest of the picture was like a desert, barren land apart from 1 tree next to this river. The river provided all that the tree needed to grow into a beautiful, strong tree; and it became clear as I sat with this picture that God was my river. He was bringing me everything I needed to grow healthily.

The River here is pages of resources and inspiration God showed me during these harder seasons which then helped me to remain healthy after it… until July 2024, but that’s a huge story!!

So, it’s personal blogs, YouTube talks, book recommendations… plus a sprinkling of hope & joy thrown in!

I took a break from social media in December 2024, but will begin using Instagram again soon to connect… because I’m starting to feel ready to talk to someone other than the kids, dogs or my plants!

I’ll also begin uploading videos to YouTube just about finding joy in the everyday life… and something else I have an idea about but I need a bit more time to work on it!
