Daily checklist

I made this daily checklist for both me and the kids because it’s been 10months since I had to stop working and I’ve come to a point where I know the things I need to do to stop me feeling like I’m sinking in all the responsibilities that come with raising kids and living in a house renovation while feeling crappy in my head.

But… none of us could get into the habit of getting these things done daily, partly due to overwhelm and partly just ADHD easily distracted & forgetful.

*ADHD tip*- Stick this where you will see it as soon as you wake up!!

(I used to file everything away that I made for the kids so it was neat and tidy - but we’d all completely forget about it in less than 1 day. Get all your reminders on the wall where you’ll see them… create your own version that goes with the design of your house if you need to, just make sure you see it everyday to jog your memory and keep you on track.)

This PDF here is blank for you to write your ‘things’ on, but the ones me and the kids have are simple things - but the things we are likely to forget like make our bed, brush our teeth, strength exercises, going for a dog jog, getting our responsibilties done in the house.

…so I haven’t put gardening on mine because I’d easily spend all day everyday in the garden! I don’t need a nudge to get that done!

I also have an extra sheet that I’ve included in this that I have put on our front door that says STOP! and makes us check that we’ve ticked off the things we need to do BEFORE we head out to do the things we want to do! I’ve heard, “I’ll do it later” waaaaay too many times to know that it absolutely will not get done later!

Anyway, if you’re also in a season where life feels too much, too heavy, too confusing; or you’re struggling with forgetfulness and habit building, I hope this helps you ride the waves that come at you instead of getting repeatedly knocked out by them!

*The checklist includes January-December so can be started any time.
