Skylark x Home Ed - A4 extras
This is a resource I use with my guys:
Learning journey - things I’m asking them to spend their time doing each day (for me it’s practical things like make their beds, put clean clothes away - and then BSL, Maths, English and Duolingo) - and why I’m asking. (This is also helpful to show the Local Authority)
Things they want to spend time doing and why.
Thinking about them - what excites them? What interests them? What do they want to learn more about?
Their goals for this month
Adventures they want to go on this month
End of the month run down - how did they get on with their goals? What skills did they learn? What did they love? What did they hate?
A daily checklist - my biggest one to stop hearing, “what do I need to do now/what are we doing today?” These have ‘Gratitude’ ‘Reconnect’ ‘Journal’ and ‘Move’ already on there to go with the home ed A5 planner.
Shopping list to stick on your fridge - if anyone uses the last of something, stick it on the list!
To - Do list
Daily jobs - another for the fridge - in our house we stick this on and everyone ticks of one (they choose any) each day.
Deep clean jobs - this one is mainly for me, but I’ve found that if I have something like this on the fridge, one of them will randomly follow it and do that job. It’s rare… but it happens!
Budget planner - for them to begin learning about financial literacy.
These are things that have just helped streamline our rhythm instead and filter out a lot of questions that they don’t need to ask me! With 4 people asking me questions all day my head can get fried - so I created each of these with a purpose of building responsibility, accountability and to help me cling to my sanity!
Incase it helps - my kids are currently 8, 10, 12 & 14 and they all use all of these resources.
Every 2 months we’ll add the next 2 months’ worth to buy.
